In This Grey World
The sound of rain pelting against the roof and windows is something timeless; it's something that Steve knows is never going to change. It's a constant in the world. And he can use all the constants he can get, because his world has been turned upside down and almost nothing is familiar.
People. People are familiar. People is something he can know and understand because they don't really change while times do. The technology changes and everything else marches forward with the inexorable march of time.
And where is he? He's a man out of time. He stands out and doesn't fit in – an anachronism.
Of course, Tony finds that utterly endearing.
He has to bring Tony into these thoughts of his; these pensive thoughts he gets whenever he hears the rumble of thunder – sounding like guns and the boom of explosions – and the sounds of rain against glass.
Tony who is beautiful and complicated and full of flaws; who doesn't look after himself and puts everyone else before himself even though he would never admit to that. Tony who has helped him to open up, has shown him a new world that he could have only dreamed about ever seeing. Tony who has given him a place in this world. Tony who is his world.
The thought is heavy, weighs on him, and makes his heart flutter in his chest just a little. But he doesn't regret it. No. Never.
He doesn't regret Tony; doesn't regret what they have.
Steve might miss things. He might miss his old familiarities with the world, but he would never trade Tony for any of that. Tony who smiles just for him and means it; Tony who makes everything that he's sacrificed and lost seen worth it.
He smiles at the thought and leans against the glass, letting his eyes drift closed and thoughts of Tony filling his mind.
Maybe he's alone right now, physically, but he knows he isn't. He isn't alone.
Not anymore.

I'm Here, Tony
It had been several weeks since Tony had freaked out. Ever since he and Steve got together, his panic attacks had calmed down. Now, as he sat alone in the Avenger’s tower, leaning against the couch while flicking away on his Stark phone, something inside him tightened. He let out a sharp breath, and felt his fingers loosen around his phone. Feeling the tears spring in his eyes, Tony sat up, grabbing at his chest and letting out a few shocked coughs.
Images flashed behind his closed eyes. Images of Afghanistan and him drowning and not being able to pull away from the threatening water. The sound of his own screaming as they fried away a

Stony - I' m yours
I´m yours
You've touched these tired eyes of mine
And mapped my face line by line
And some how growing old feels fine
I listen close for I'm not smart
You wrap your thoughts and works of art
And there hanging on the walls of my heart.
Tony has been too long in his workshop, again it´s already evening, and Steve decided it is time to pull out Tony from there. Steve always felt so old when he had to scold down Tony about his hours spent in the workshop.
...
So he just sighed to find his husband sleeping on the work-table. It wasn´t surprising at all. But something else surprised him. He was mumbling something from his sleep.

Fix You
Tony stared at the floor, hands hanging limp in his lap. His expression was dull and mainly blank. But if you looked close enough, you could see the sadness. He ignored the growing darkness in the room, and just sat there on the floor. What was the point in moving? What was the point in eating? What was the point? Tony stared at the carpet, eyes wavering in and out of focus. Everyone expected so much from him. Everyone expected him to be the top notch, cocky, rich and cheerful Tony Stark!
Well, what if he didn't want to be that?
He felt his chest shake with every breath. He shut his eyes, ignoring the darkness. What was wrong with embracing
